why do i only get 2 options on the combo box wizard in microsoft..

When I try to create a combo box using the wizard, I do not get all 3
options: 1. I want the combo box to look up the values in a table of query.
2. I will type in the values I want. 3. Find a record on my form based on
the value I selected in my combo box.

Hi,
The form that the combo is on must be bound to a query or table.

If the Record Source for your form is a SQL statement, you won't get the 3rd
option. As Dan said, it must be based on a table or query. You can save
the SQL statement as a saved query, then it will work.
