I keep getting an error code when sending any e-mails more than 1MB via
Outlook. The code is OX8004210B and suggests that the e-mail has not been
sent when in fact it has! ISP says its Outlook. Can anyone help??

One cause could be a server timeout value set too low. That value can be
found on the Advanced tab of your account properties pages.

I had the same problem as JC. My error message read: "Task
'pop3.mail.wowway.com sending reported error (0x8004210B). The operation time
out waiting for a responsed from the sending (SMTP) server. If you continue
to receive this message, contact your ISP."

It appeared while I was responding to an email, with the original message
and moving picture included with my message. It was a little over 619 kb.
This error also appeared while sending a short email as well.

This started a few days ago. I contacted my ISP, who said it was a Micorsoft
problem. I contacted Microsoft, who said it was the responsiblity of my
computer manufacturer since the product (Outlook 2003) was installed by them.
(I wish everyone would learn about the products they sell or provide instead
of giving consumers the runaround.)

I contacted Dell, who had me perform a system restore. (Before you perform
that step -- what out!) When I restored my system, it restored a component of
a program that I had recently uninstalled/deleted. It was difficult to get
rid of that component, so I had to peform a registry uninstall of the
component.)

Restoration seemed to help, but I changed the time information that you
suggested that JC alter...just in case.

By the way, no one could figure out why I got a Outlook 2002 error on my
Outlook 2003 product. (I have Windows XP, with sp2, and 502 MB of RAM)

micro office 2003 error 0X8004210B

Same problem different computor. Brand new HP have had several techs on the phone and in person. Everyone scratching head but email is still "stuck" I have turned off McAfee spam and email virus protection. Changed the time out setting in advanced account settings. Outlook won't even let me delete the offending email. Although I was able to move it to another folder and delete from there before, cannot do that now. It just wan't go away !!

HP, and Microsoft are geared to send you away rather than help repair. Microsoft actually wants to be paid to fix thier broken product. Brighthouse has sent a free tech but he thought it was fixed and left... It isn't. Server permits 7 MB size email. The one "stuck" is 6 MB. Other email, no matter the size even 2 KB is trapped behind as well. Googled error 0x800421oB and was told it is a service pack2 problem. Downloaded service pac 2 , rebooted and still...email is trapped by error 0x8004210B. Any other ideas? Also do NOT want to reset to original settings because I have had great trouble uninstalling Norton in favor of McAfee. Cannot run ANY part of them together or much bad JuJu

Have read of many other users with the same problem but have yet to find a fix. ANY IDEAS ???

Phil
