Why do I have No MIDI/sound input?

I bought this PC intending to make music on it only to get
a <No Midi/sound input driver error message in the program
I want to use to make music. What's going on & where do I

My Pc using XP has no midi on volume control, I should

be able to tick a midi box on advance control but a/c
does not come up when clicked so when I play a midi file
on a program say cubasis/media player appears to play and
no sound, any advice u/can give me, Reagrds,baz.
