why do I get a # in memo field?

I currently have a form that contains a memo field. This field is used to
record notes and the user is allow to add and delete the notes.
Occassionally when a note is added and later the user comes back and adds
another note, Access will populate the note with ######. I can not figure
out why this happens. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the memo field has become corrupted. If you don't have a
backup, MAKE ONE NOW - this problem can spread and damage your
database permanently!
