Why do I get a blank screen when selecting preview mode?

When trying to preview my work, I press the "preview" button and the screen
goes blank. This was working fine earlier today. Obviously, something
changed. Any clues?

Thanks,
Dave

Steve,

THANKS! That fixed my problem, well sort of.

When I tried to run FPCleaner, it said FrontPage was still running, even
though I had closed all my open applications, as it advised. Using Task
Manager, I found a frontpag.exe running under the "applications" tab. After
closing it, I started FrontPage and the problem I was having was fixed!

I ran FPCleaner anyway and over 200 files were moved to the Recycle Bin, so
there still was some garbage to clean up, which FPCleaner did nicely.

Thank you very much for an effective solution.

It doesn't really surprise me with the way my system shuts down several times
a day due to a MS stop condition and restarts my PC. It only happens when I
have FP running, so maybe it's related. I'll have to put another posting up
with that problem.

Thanks again,
Dave

I'm just working on FP, with IE7 running, along with WinExplorer and maybe
WS-FTP. My screen just goes dark with no warning except for a quick blue
screen of death on the laptop's screen. I am using a ViewSonic VX2235wm
monitor connected to a Toshiba Satellite laptop, along with a MS Wireless
laser desktop 6000. (I hate using the laptop screen and keyboard.)

I can't say it only happens in FP for sure, as that is about the only app
I've been using for the past 2 months, but it has only shutdown when I'm in
FP.

Yesterday it shutdown 3 times in about 3 hours. The third time I got an
entirely different message that said I had a video device driver problem. It
gave me 2 options to try. One was to install the most current driver, which I
did not try. The other was to manually decrease the HArdware Acceleration for
my video adapter, which I did. So far, no problems. That was about 8:45 PM
last night. The system ran fine until I shut it down at 4:30 AM this morning.
(I'm developing a website with a looming deadline. It's

Thanks for your interest.
