Mostly ignorance. But I'm sure marketing revenue plays a large role as
well.

Good Marketing.
Just have a look at other tests, e.g. at rokop-security.de.

It's HYPE and MARKETING.

How can it be considered "best ever" when it's still 2003 ?

It could be because of their area of expertise, which is ~ how
to make unsubstantiated claims while appearing to be asking
a question.

(Like the courtroom lawyer:
Answer "yes" or "no" ~ have you stopped beating your wife?)

The best AV product was called "perfect.bat" and it stopped
everything, and I mean *everything*. Almost zero impact on
the machines resources ~ no need to install ~ no muss no fuss.
No bloat ~ lean an' mean ~ easily fit on a single floppy ~ no
need to "phone home" for updated data or program engine
version. Errr uses "generic technology".. ;o)

(sorry, couldn't resist ~ I'll be quiet now)

Inspired by Invircible, no doubt.

I will if you will. OTOH I doubt that either of us will.

I do not believe that norton 2004 will strike everything.
I do not want to say that it is not good but I believe that the ignorance of
some users are made to sell their products. Symantec is active on most pages
with their advertisement, like www.heisec.de .
