Why do archived events still appear in calendar?

My calendar has too many events for space allowed in Pocket PC, so I followed
archiving directions expecting events before selected date (1/1/06) to be
removed from the calendar. I now have a new file in the archive folder, but
the events remain in my calendar. How do I get them out of the calendar but
keep them in the archive?

Archiving typically removes items from the source folder when it places them
in the destination folder. If you still see them in the original fodler,
make sure they were copied. If they were, just delete them from the
original folder.
 
Brian, Thanks. Interestingly, although the events still appear on my PC,
they seem to have been deleted from the Pocket PC in the last synch. I'll
check to make sure the events are actually present in the archive file before
deleting.
