Why did my fonts change?

Yesterday I noticed my letters were bolder and my font is different.
Can someone tell me what causes this and how I can revert back to what
I had before?

Is this caused by installing a program or by a windows update?

I have WIn XP home.

Thanks

Where? In a particular program or programs? On the desktop?

On my desktop and all my programs the font has been changed. The
letters are more bolder now. I suspect when my son installed a new
version of Nero it caused it but he said that was all he did.

I have an ATI Radeon card and relaoded the driver but that didn't
help.

I suspect I have changed a font, but how do I check on it and change
it if that is the soultion?

For example, on the Title bars?

Right-click on a blank part of the desktop and choose Properties. Go to the
"Appearance" tab abd click "Advanced." In the Item drop-down box, choose
Active Title Bar and see what the Font settings are. Change as desired.
Repeat for the other desktop items.

Thanks! I changed the Active Title bar font from Trebuchet MS to New
Roman and it worked I think. Still the letters are too thick and I
don't know what the other selections mean on the appearance advanced
tab.

In retrospect not all fonts were affected but most were.

You're welcome. Glad to help. Try the other fonts and see which you like
best. I use MS Sans Serif, but I believe the default is Tahoma.
