I've already post my problem at April 10, 2004. However, I can find it after( 5 mintues) I was post
My problem is that I have 2 partition, 1 is Win XP another is Win 2000. My Win XP can detect my sound device but Win 2000 can not. Sometime when I start the Win 2000, it pop up that "Some devices can not initial.

Anyone can help me to solve the problem, I'll appreciate so much

By the way, Chris Lanier [MVP] please don't delete my post again!

Windows XP has many more drivers included in it than Windows 2000. You need
to get the driver for the device and install it (you can probably get it
online from the manufacturer).

It is highly unlikely anyone deleted your posts and Chris afaik is not in
the habit of deleting posts. LOL
You probably did not go back far enough to find your original post. The
general group has an enormous amount of posts [1000+ per day]. What did you
use as a user name for your original post? I only see one post from Stupid
Guy, so you obviously used another ID on the original post.
Try downloading the Win 2k drivers and reinstall them after booting into Win
2k.
If you intend to use the newsgroups for help, setup a newsreader. The web
based newsgroups are very difficult to use in these high volume newsgroups.

Sound drivers are an inappropriate topic for
microsoft.public.word.newusers.

When you post through the Microsoft Communities portal, your posts may not
show up as quickly as they would if you used a newsreader to post directly
to msnews. As Michael has suggested, an NNTP newsreader is a much more
efficient way to access the Microsoft newsgroups (see
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/resources.htm#setupmsnews for instructions on
how to configure Outlook Express to read msnews). This approach will have
the additional advantage that you will probably not be tempted to cross-post
your *Windows* question to a NG for new users of Microsoft *Word*!
