Why Comp A sees Comp B but not vice-versa?

I have two computers (A has Win2k Server and is 192.168.0.1, B has Win2k pro
and is 192.168.0.2). Both are on the same private network. When on computer
A I type: start->run->"\\192.168.0.2" it pops up a login, and I can get to
the file shares. However, from computer B, if I type:
start->run->"\\192.168.0.1" it says it cannot find it.

Does anyone know what I might be doing incorrectly? Do you know what port is
used for those requests?

Is file sharing enabled on both computers (particularly in the computer that
cannot be seen) ?
Can you ping both ways?
 
What do you mean is file sharing enabled? If you mean, is a folder on a disk
(logical) set to be shared, the answer is yes. Is there another place to set
that info?

I can ping both ways.

Also, it's not a firewall issue as I turned off the firewall and still had
the same problem.

Any ideas?

As long as the "invisible" administrative shares haven't been removed then
the drives are in face fully shared. But if those are removed and nothing
else is shared then ....nothing is shared.
 
I figured out the problem! When I disabled NetBios on the external NIC (to
the internet) for some reason it propogated it for all other NICs in the
server. So I re-enabled it on the internal NIC (and kept it disabled
externally), and now it works! Any idea why it propogated that change?

No, but it did happen to me once too.
