Why can't search for files in my Inbox

The following are the steps to reproduce the issue:
1.send email to yourself and add attachment user.doc
2.after you receive the email in inbox , open advanced find and issue the
following search
Look for: Files (Outlook/Exchange)
In: Inbox; Custom folder
Named: user
Of type: Documents (*.doc)
3.Click Find now

Ol can not find the user.doc , as expected.

Reproducible for both OL2003 and 2007.
I use Exchange 2003 server, but this is reproducible for 2007 as well.

Please reply promptly. Thanks in advance.

Ol can not find the user.doc , as expected.
Exactly, so what is the issue then?

Since it is an attachment to a message and not a file directly placed into
the Inbox, you'll need to set the "Look for:" to messages and not to files.

Disregard "as expected"!
Can you give an example of a file "directly placed into the Inbox". How is
this type of item created there?
Thanx!

Just drag & drop a Word document (or any other file) out of Explorer into an
Outlook folder.
