Why can't I view my website from a macintosh computer?

I created a Front Page Website for use in my classroom. When I view the
website from my IBM computer, everything works properly. When I go to my
classroom and try to view the website, everything is scrambled? Is there any
way to fix this problem?

There's probably a lot of proprietary, or just plain bad, code,
unfortunately. Can you post a URL?

You will need to provide a URL to your site with the problem.

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact

If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a
security update, then there is usually no charge for the call.

The web address is http://members.cox.net/bcandrews. My server has the Front
Page Extensions activated, and I have tried different authoring options, but
I'm not sure about what settings to use and I have no knowledge about writing
code. That was what I found appealing about Front Page. You're supposed to
be able to design it and code is completed for you. I'd appreciate your help
with some advice. Thanks!

The big problem that you are having is the use of VML.

VML is Vector Markup Language, and it is the result of using
items like clipart, wordart, and the drawing tools. As you
have seen, it works great if the client is IE, but becomes
discombobulated when using other browsers---> only IE
supports it.

Sadly, the best thing you can do is to recreate the page,
using tables to do the layout and standardized images where
you need to for the apples etc.

Mike,

I don't understand your comment regarding only IE. Many times your comments
are true.

However, I have viewed OP's site with IE 6, Opera 8.54, Netscape 7, Avant,
and Firefox 1.5. There are no differences in the appearance in any of these
browsers.

I don't believe that is the problem.

I see it fine in NS, IE6 and FF. The only problem I have is there aren't
links on each page for site navigation.

Don't know what the OP has on the IBM for browsing. Could it be AOL?

Thank you so much! I have been very frustrated. I will re-create the site
without the use of VML. I'll be sure and ask for more advice if it still
doesn't work.

When I checked yesterday. the page scrolled wide right and
the apples / links never rendered. This was in NS8( FF
mode). In IE7 it was fine, but when I opened in FP 2000 I
had no apples either. I looked at the code and there was vml
everywhere

Today it's another story. The only thing of concern to me is
the 'hole hearted' font.
