I scanned a word doc into an existing doc and cant format the two to make
one, also I deleted some of the scan pages but am left with full blank pages.
why doesn't the text meet the rest of doc? or how can i delete the blank
pages.
Page numbers won't follow in sequence- also I can no longer type
under page numbers, text goes either side of them.
Please help, am new to comps and at my wits end!

It's hard to tell from your description, but I think what you have is
a series of pictures, one for each page that you scanned. That's the
natural output of a scanner.

If you need to change anything in that document, you need to use
"optical character recognition" (OCR) software. The OCR reads the
picture and produces editable text. If the scanned input is clear and
the software is good, the result will be correctly spelled and
possibly even correctly formatted, but you may have to make
corrections.

Usually some OCR program is included in the software that comes with
the scanner, or you can buy better programs elsewhere.
