My sons have 2 MP3 players & an iPod Nano 2gb that I cannot sync to. I'm sure
there is a setting I need to change on my PC, it can't be all these devices.
The sync in WMP10 says it detects no devices but 1 MP3 & the Ipod synced fine
on a friends PC. The 2nd MP3 says there is no driver installed-anyone know
what to do on any of these issues? Many thanx

For an iPod you'll probably need iTunes .......

For the other two, at least one of them you'll need specific software for -
what make are they ?

Neither MP3 player is branded but both came with their own disk which I used.
One MP3 installed the S/W but still wouldn't sync, the new MP3 (today) said
the driver was not installed even though I followed the instructions after
loading the disk. The iPod didn't work in iTunes either but worked there fine
in another PC.

OK, in every case where you get an installation disk, you need to install
the software then plug in the USB device when asked to, and not before. Did
you do it that way round ? Did you use the specific software to sync ?

One MP3 I installed before using the disk, the 2nd one I did correctly.
However today I bought yet ANOTHER Mp3 player, an Alba, which states that you
do not have to use the disk. But I did have to. It was loaded correctly but I
still can't sync in WM Player. Anyhow the iPod won't sync and that doesn't
use a disk. Do you reckon a wipe/or roll back of the PC would sort things
out? Thanx for your interest,
