I'm running MS Windows XP Home on a Compaq Pentium 4 PC.

When I click on Start | Programs, only a 'short' list pops up- say 8 or 9
applications. I have to then move my mouse pointer down to the bottom of the
list to fully expand it.

Is there some setting I can change so I can see all the applications
immediately like I can with my other PC running Windows 98?

Thanks!

Right-click on the nice green Start button and select:
Properties > Start Menu > Customize and uncheck
the little box next to "Use Personalized Menus".
