Why can't I get animation in my e-mails upon opening?

I send and receive a LOT of e-mails with animation in them. Why doesn't the
new Office 2007 allow me to make a default change to permanently allow the
animation to work rather than check each and every e-mail that comes in?
Also why can't I get the e-mail address book to alphabetize by the LAST name
instead of the first?

Thank you

I can answer the second question. Go to Tools | Account Settings and click
the Address Books tab. Select the Outlook Address Book and click Change.
Select the "File As" radio button under Show Names By, and click Close, then
Close again.

Because Microsoft thinks you need protection from that.

Okay, I think it's awesome that Microsoft worries about me that much; but I
would like for them to at least give me an option to "shut off" their
protection. I've not been harmed by animated e-mails for years now and don't
accept e-mails that I don't recognize the sender anyway. Thank you

It will be a hold day in the nether regions before that will happen.

It's not the "file as" column I want alphabetized that way, it's the one that
shows in the first line when I pull up my e-mail address book. But, I've
decided to go back to Outlook Express as it is so much more user friendly and
versatile for me. thanks for your response however.
