Why can't I change security settings? IE6sp2

Changing security settings won't hold. Can't find anything written about
this one. Close but no cigar.

Trying to lower all security settings to find a solution to another problem
I'm having and will post separate question.

Do you have administrator privileges? Only users with administrator
privileges can make many changes to the system.

Are you part of a domain? If so, a group policy may prevent you from making
changes.

Hi PA Bear,

PMJI, I'm having a a somewhat similar problem. Yes, I just started using
Spybot.

Whenever I try to access Tools->Internet Options on the IE6 menu, I get a
pop-up box labelled "Restrictions" saying "This operation has been cancelled
due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system
administrator."

That's a laugh, since this is a single system at home. It would appear that
either Spybot put on some restrictions that I can't find references to in the
documentation, or I've been hijacked. Can you enlighten?
