Can't anyone answer this question that I posted a week
ago? Here it is again:
I'm a bit afraid of upgrading from IE 4 to IE 6.
For one thing, I use FrontPageExpress extensively, and it
is no longer bundled with the new version of IE. If I
upgrade to the new version, will I still be able to use
the FPexpress that's currently in my computer? (I have a
shortcut icon to FPexpress in my quick-launch area and I
don't want it to become inoperative or inaccesible.) Any
tips here? Is there anything special that I can - or must -
do to hold onto FPexpress when I download IE6?
I'm also wondering what happens to OE. Will all of my mail
folders and old messages transfer seamlessly to the new
version, or not? How does that work? Again, anything
special that I need to do in order to assure that?
I assume that in the new IE browser, all of my old
favorites and favorites subfolders will still remain
intact - right?
I sure wish that Microsoft would provide some information
about these kind of upgrading questions on their IE
download page. (I couldn't even find these questions
addressed in the FAQ's.) Surely, I'm not the only one
who's wondered what happens when you upgrade to a newer
version. What's up with Microsoft, anyway? You can't even
email them a question about their own products?? (Sorry
about this mini tirade; I'm just frustrated.)
If you can help, I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks!
ps - please email the response to me at
