I have used both FP and FTP to upload to my website.
With FTP, I have uploaded to the /public_html folder and I have assumed that
FP also uploaded to this folder.
Reading the web pages of various webhosts, I have learned there is also a
/www folder which is the same as the /public_html folder.
What is the reason for two folders that supposedly contain the same files?
What would the consequences be if the /www folder was deleted?
Another puzzler: This occurred prior to my learning about /www. In viewing
the files with my FTP software, the subfolders were empty and yet the
website worked fine. I went back a few hours later and the same subfolders
now had the files. Does anyone know of an explanation for this?
