Why are my messages being flagged automatically for follow-up?

When I click on an email, Outlook 2007 is automatically flagging it for
follow-up without me doing it. I am searching high and low for a solution
for this and i can't find one. It started doing it two nights ago. Now all
my messages are being flagged as soon as I click on it. Anybody else
experiencing this?

Messages are automatically flagged when a rule is set up to do so. In
Outlook go to 'Tools', then 'Rules and Alerts' and be sure that there
are no rules in play that is flagging all new messages.
