The laser mice I can find are all shaped specifically for right handed
users. Why are none ambidextrous? Seems like I read somewhere that
about 15% of the population are southpaws. Is this too small a market
to design mice for?

Logitech makes ambidextrous mice.
More like 10% are lefty's.Naturally the 90% controls the market. And
many lefty's(like me) use a right-handed mouse.

so you can keep your other hand free for other important matters.

Evoluent.com has a left-hand vertical mouse.

There actually are many symmetrical optical mice. Try newegg.com

Because the left hand is the hand of the devil? Because minorities of all
stripe in this country end up sucking hind tit? No, it must be economics....

Yes, but I can't find a single *LASER* mouse which is symmetrical or
left handed and is sold locally. I believe I stumbled across a product
announcement about one not too long ago, but it wasn't one of the "top"
manufacturers.

Not that I spend too much time looking. I can mouse with either hand,
although I'm naturally right handed.

You might be thinking about optical mice. The original poster is
asking about laser mice. There is a technical difference.

You use both hands when using an ambidextrous mouse?

That's not really surprising to me.

So if they don't tell you which hand to use, the confusion leads you
to using both?
