I am posting this here as this newsgroup is a fount of knowledge ...
A few times recently when in a couple of different websites I have had
page errors when I have been unable to access the selected page ..What is
confusing me is the wording on the error page thus :-----
-------------------------------------
" Page Error
Page Not Found
The Web server cannot find the file or script you asked for. Please check
the URL to ensure that the path is correct.
Please contact the server's administrator if this problem persists.
EMail (e-mail address removed)"
-----------------------------------
Now why should gaydar.co.uk be mentioned in this message when I am trying
to access a site that has no connection with them ...I DID have my home
page set to gaydar.co.uk so thought that might be part of the problem but
have changed my Home Page and still get the message occasionally......any
clues guys ??? I contacted the sites that I was getting the message from
but they say they have their own customised error pages which are not
purely text pages.
I am using Windows XP and IE 6
