Whoops - help with issues removing and updating v2 re BCM/SBA beta

I participated in the beta for SBA 2006 and BCM v2. I've just downloaded
the released version of BCM v2. When I started the install program for BCM
v2 it told me to uninstall the earlier version.

Using the "Add - Remove Programs" control panel applet I searched for the
original BCM application to remove. The only thing that comes up close is
the application titled " Microsoft Office Small Business Management Edition
2006 CD2" - which I assume contains the code for the beta versions of both
the SBA 2006 and BCM v2.

How do I remove just the beta of BCM v2 and ** not ** the beta of SBA 2006?

Any help would be appreciated.

This is not a supported scenario, I believe - mixing a Released version
and a Beta versions. This might not work.

You found the correct product though, since BCM and SBA make the SBM
edition.

In Add/Remove, if you click Change, you might be able to remove BCM,
but the BCM Update might complain about it too.

I'd recommend removing everything.

Thanks...AJS...but....

If I remove "everything" - which means uninstalling the application titled "
Microsoft Office Small Business Management Edition
2006 CD2" then I loose SBA 2006 (along with BCM 1.x). If I then install
BCM 2.x, then try to install "Microsoft Office Small Business Management
Edition
2006 CD2" (to get back SBA 2006) I think it will complain that I have a
newer version of BCM installed and probably won't let me install SBA 2006.
:-(

Help how do I get out of this loop? Plus this better be a supported
scenario since I was an approved Microsoft Beta Tester for SBA 2006 and BCM
v2.

The loop you are in is due to trying to install V2 over the beta of the
combined BCM/SBA beta.

What you want to do will happen, and be supported, but you must either
wait until you receive the final SBA or combined software, or do
something a bit unorthodox that could result in issues down the road.
