who to remota access 5 computers

i want to link 5 of my computers, is it better to just remota access all 5 of
them together, or set up a server? I want to run this on winXP pro cause i
dont want to buy the win server, so if any one can give me a simple write-up
on how to do that it would be greatly appreciated.
