I have two Epson 600 printers and use bulk ink from different suppliers
since 4 years.
My experince of refilling is only positve.

But I wonder from where do these inksellers get their ink? Who makes it?
I do not believe they are making it themselfes.

Why not? Maybe not every seller, but surely some of them are makers
as well as sellers.

In some cases, there may be a company that figures out the formulas,
and then a front company that actually manufactures and distributes.
I have a hunch that this is what is happening with Pantone / Amazon
Ink.

A couple of chinamen mixing the stuff in rusty old oil drums at the back of an
old barn.

I've no idea why, but this question put me in mind of that Simpsons episode
where Bart is sent to France and is forced into slavery by two blokes
running a wine racket.

Actually, it's made by a Gypsy named Madamme Ruth. She makes it in
the sink of her residence at 34th and Vine. (You'll recognise her by
her gold-capped tooth).

Don't try drinking any ink (not even a sip) or you'll end up kissing
everything in sight!
