Who made my 9800SE

How does one identify the maker of an OEM card made by an ATI Partner. I
have a 9800SE All In Wonder. The supplier was out of the Hercules card when
I ordered and said that the one on sale at a cheaper price was either made
by Connect 3D or Powercolor.

I believe you can look up your card's serial number somewhere on ATi's site,
Derek, to find out who the manufacturer is.

I looked there but inputting the serial only tells me that it was not made
by ATI. It's not a problem, I am just curious as the remote is made by ATI
and the instruction leaflets have ATI's address on them. The supplier told
me before I ordered it that their tests had shown it to have a 4% poorer
performance that the ATI made product.

Try this page, Derek -
http://www.ati.com/support/identify/graphicschart.html. If you obtain the
ID numbers for your card by the methods described in the links at the bottom
of the page, I think you might be able to ID your card if it's made by one
of these manufacturers.

I tried it with my Sapphire 128MB 9600 Pro VIVO, which is not listed as a
discrete card here; nevertheless, the Sub Vendor ID still came up as a
Sapphire card.
