who knows if NTL have bought in new IP addresses as a friend is having
trouble connecting to the net.
it keeps asking for them to contact the IP provider.

Hi Jason,

What is your friend's computer setup, and what specifically does the error
message say? If they go to Start, Run, type 'cmd' and hit enter, then type
'ipconfig' at the command prompt, what IP do they have-- Is it an APIPA IP
(140.160.x.x)?

I have got the same IP Address as I have had for nearly a year. What is the exact message?
