You should be able to log onto your router and see the devices connected.
Consult the routers documentation for specifics on how.

Rather than trying to figure out who might be connected (problematic) you
should secure your WiFi so they cannot connect.

why not go into your router and set a WEP key 128 bit then you would not
have to worry about who is using your un-protected WI-FI network

Hello ,

What type of router do you have? either way...

There are several ways of locking down you WiFi for security you need to
enable WPA/WPA2 Authentication and encryption.

This will take some effort but tis much better than having use your wifi as
a connection through point for them to spam from or whatever.

If i know your router type i can help you out...

Robert, MCP.

I've always been curious about this, I dont have wifi but intend to soon. IF
someone enters through the open connection and accesses the web through my
connection do they appear as ME if they do something malicious...like hack
into someone else's machine or send spam mail or whatever?

Yes.

Any Internet activity will be initiated from the IP address assigned to you
by your ISP. Any illegal activity if traced will come back to you. Proving
it wasn't you could be difficult. Another of several good reasons to secure
your wireless network.

I'm not condoning this, but my son lives in London and their flat has a wifi
connetion from a neighbour. His flatmate cracked the password and has set up
a small program to alert them and disconnect when the owner is using his pc.
Be careful.
