I bought my laptop a couple of weeks ago and just realized that the file path for my files starts with C:\Documents and Settings\Jay Cramblit\My Documents\.... I checked the system information screen under My Computer and it shows that my computer is registered to Jay Cramblit. I have registered this computer with HP and have checked to be sure that my copy of Windows XP is legal and it is. Again I ask, "Who is Jay Cramblit?"

How would we know the person who had the computer before you purchased it
(used)? Was it a refurbished computer? Take it back to the store you got it
from and bitch a lot!

Greetings --

From whom, exactly, did you purchase that laptop? It sounds like
you purchased a used or refurbished laptop and the vendor failed to
clean the system before selling it to you. Ask whomever you purchased
the computer from. If you bought it from a private party who was
_not_ named "Jay Crambilt," you might also want to get your local
police involved.
