who installed ms updates?

ok I had 11 in xp and 11 in vista
all went well except for the one of the update for ie8 for vista
when the computer needed a reboot- it just sat there waiting to restart but
I pushed the button on the computer and got it to restart and the updated
finished
this did not happen in xp- <I wonder why <g>

Only problem with XP is a common one here: the yellow shield shows this
morning and I start the download, but nothing follows. Four hrs later
I go to the Update site and start the download, and voila the shield
returns and doesn't like being upstaged. But after restart, it yields.

I never use the yellow shield to update
sometimes it can be real funky
I always go to windows update site to do my updates

I only got 6, as I don't run Vista or IE8. Run XP Pro with IE6. Went for my
updates about 2 p.m. EDST, they installed very fast, then a reboot. Was one
of the smoothest and fastest installs done in awhile. :)
 
No problems here, 12 on Vista and 13 on XP but that's because it included
IE8 everything went smoothly on both machines, they both have Office 2007
installed so had updates for them included.
