I made a JPG file with a nice logo on a pure white background. It looks
great when I preview it, but turns to a dill gray background when I save the
movie file. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is there something I can
do to fix it?

Thanks,

Curt.

Generally for logos you should be using a PNG file which does not
degrade the color information (JPG compression is lossy).

Can you post your JPG somewhere on the net so we can try what is the
issue. (Use www.putfile.com or www.yousendit.com etc)

Your movie looks identical to the image when played on my system.
Perhaps the issue is with your media player. Things to try:

1. Update your graphics card drivers
2. Install WMP again or Windows Media Encoder
<http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.aspx>

3. Use another media player: "Media Player Classic"
<http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/>

You are all correct. I just tried playing it on a different computer and it
looks fine, but for some reason it looks terrible on my computer at home.
I'll try re-installing media player and let you know if that works, but as
it is, the problem is definitely limited to play back on my computer.

Sorry for wasting your time, but thanks for setting me straight.

Yes, as Rehan wrote. It is white on my system also. You might try moving
an open window over it and compare and contrast. But the white is white
on
my system also (in the sample movie).

The problem is with my Video driver. If I remove the driver and run under
the generic windows VGA driver it looks fine, but if I install the NVIDIA
Geforce drivers it looks terrible. Go figure. I guess maybe it's time for
a new video card...

Thanks for the help,

Curt.
