I have a P4P800S-X (with AGP 8X), and I am trying to install a Radeon 9520.

There is currently not enough room for the card. There is a white tab on the
right side of the slot; the maunal doesn't mention what to do.

From what I gather, this is a lock for the card.
So, do I push the tab to the right, fit the card, then push back to the
left?

Thanks,
QZ

Just push the card straight down, the normal way you install your video
card...

That is a retention device, so your card will not pop out.

You sort of push that tab thingy a little to the side, when you remove the
card.

Well, but their is no room for the right edge of the card to fit in the
slot.

Are you sure I don't first push the white tab to the right?

Move it whichever way is necessary for the card to fit in the AGP slot.

For that type of card locking tab, yes.

I started noticing these white tabs about a year and a half ago or so when I
went to install a video card and couldn't figure out how to get it in with
the tab there. If it's like the tabs I normally see, you just push the
right side of the tab that is sticking out farther than the slot down to
open up the lock. Insert the video card, then close the lock.
