Is there a .NET 2.0 newsgroup? I'd like to get an answer to the question
below.

Thanks in advance. - mark

********************************

I'm looking at the CodeDom namespace in .NET 2.0 class library online
(http://msdn2.microsoft.com/library/za6cc751.aspx). I'm not seeing any
class that would allow me to create Generics. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

newsgroup server = privatenews.microsoft.com
group = microsoft.private.whidbey
username = privatenews\VSUser
password = Password (case sensistive)

not much traffic though.

Hi Mark,

AFAIK there is none, you can always post your question here and most of the
time it gets answered in the same way.

I don't think that there are any generic classes in the CodeDOM namespace,
I could be wrong though, I have never use it.

Cheers,

Something wrong probably with your newsreader or provider.

Joe Mayo has showed the link too the Whidbey newsgroups two hours before
you.
There are I think almost 30 Whidbey newsgroups including languages.csharp
for 2005.

Maybe it is good that you check your newsreader.

I hope this helps?

Hi Cor,

I just did an update earlier this morning in the server I use to get this
NG ( news.microsoft.com ) and there is no group regarding Whidbey

There are several online accesible though, the one Joe pointed to.
The only thing is that you will have to use the web and not the outlook
express as most of people do.

The Login/password posted by John B is not working, and has not worked for a
while I think.

So I was not wrong :) there is no group accesible from OE , they can only be
accessed from IE.

Ignacio ,

I'm affraid you are, the NNTP NG is at privatenews.microsoft.com and needs
logon credentials as posted by John B.

Willy.

Hi Willy,

You are right :)

I had the wrong server, mine was pointing to betanews.microsoft.com instead
of private.microsoft.com

Byw, are they public or just reserved to the beta program participand?

cheers,

I got it to work as well.
