Which XP to buy

I am getting ready to do DVD with clients scanned photos and background
music. I need to purchase a new computer for this, and am not sure which
operating system I want, XP Pro or Media Center. I use remote desktop a lot,
and the four other comptuers I deal with are Pro. Are there advantages in
purchasing Media Center. It is possible that I may want to edit and make home
movies on DVD in the future also. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of XP
Pro as opposed to XP Media Center?

If you are not going to be using the PC as a PVR/Tivo box, go with the Pro
version.

Media Center cannot join a domain whereas pro can

MCE can join a domain but only during installation. Since the OP did not
mention any Windows server, Windows domain may not be required.

I do not understand supporting a domain. I use a network with a domain name
to log onto our netword computers, and I use dsl from my home to log onto
remote desktop. Sometimes I log onto romote desktop from work. Would I be
able to do this with MC? It seems that most ready made machines that fit my
needs for speed and drives are media center installed.

I would get XP Pro. I just bought a new PC with Media Center
preinstalled. The only Media Center "feature" I actually use is the new
"Energy Blue" theme. For everything else, I might as well be using XP Pro.
