i updated my computer to windowsXP and now when ever i
turn it on i get a message of what OS i wana use? how do
i make it just load XP and not ask me that?

Go to Start > Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Click on the BOOT.INI tab and then click on "Check All Boot Paths"
to delete incorrect boot paths.

If the above does not work for you:

Right-click MY COMPUTER and select:

Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery Settings > Edit

CAREFULLY edit your boot.ini file to remove the SECOND entry.
Your boot.ini file should then look similar to this:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect

Assume you have no use for the previous OS or any files, including any
personal files, email etc., on that partition per your input.
Setup your computer to boot from CD first via cmos/bios setup. Remove the
OS partitions when XP setup starts. This will remove your previous OS
entirely and forever. Then install a NTFS primary partition. XP setup will
do the rest.
