I'm starting a new build and have decided on the Intel BOXD975XBX2KR LGA 775
motherboard

My question is does anyone have any thoughts on the best video board for
this
motherboard?

What are you looking for ?

Most expensive card ? Cheapest card ?

Are you a gamer ? What kind of games ?

Are you just doing email, web surfing, Photoshop ?

What video devices -- LCD with DVI-D, CRT with VGA, TV set ?

There are probably hundreds of different brands/models,
so there has to be some selection criterion.

Yes. The BEST video card currently for that high end motherboard is an
Nvidia 8800 GTX. There are many various manufacturers that produce them.

Except that (IIRC) the chipset supports ATI-style dual vid cards instead
of nVidia's SLI. Doesn't matter if the OP stays with a single card, of
course.
