I am looking for the version that lets you fly remote controlled airplanes
as if you were standing on the ground flying them with a controller. I am
pretty sure it is one of the Microsoft Flight Sims, but I don't remember
which one. Can you enlighten me please?

Thanks

At least up to FS 2004 they have a "Tower View" that lets you watch the
plane from a fixed vantage point. I would be surprised if FS X doesn't
have that feature as well. The trouble is that it often only shows the
sky as a background behind the plane, so it's sometimes hard to judge
how well you are lined up for landings. With only the sky as a
background it's hard to tell which direction you are "looking in" to see
your plane. If you zoom out enough to see the ground, your plane is so
small it's hard to see which way it is pointing.

You CAN use Flight Simulator's map view to move the base point for the
tower view to a high altitude so you can look down on your plane and get
a better idea of which direction you are looking in. Not such a silly
idea, as on a model plane's scale you are probably taller than many
small airport control towers.

Have you seen GreatPlanes' Real Flight? It's specifically created as an
RC plane simulation and has an authentic "RC Plane Transmitter"
controller available. http://www.realflight.com/index.html

I think that this is the program that I was looking for in the first place,
I just didn't realize that it wasnt part of the ms fs series, thanks.
