Dear Arp,

Thank you for your posting.

To logon domain from the client computer, the client computer will send a
logon request to the nearest domain controller in the same subnet. If the
domain controller is not available at that time, it will send a broadcast
to request a domain controller, then a domain controller from other subnet
will send a reply for make a connection between the client. The pdc
emulator is used for domain password change.

Hope it is helpful.

Thanks and have a good day!
