Which updates for XP?

I've installed winXP Pro and want to download all the
critical Updates to safe on MY PC in case I have to
reinstall.
From the update catalog site I have to pick my OS...
I don't know which one to choose...
I don't have and don't want to install SP1.
What is windows XP pro RTM????
And there are 2 windows XP versions without the HOME or
PRO version.
I guess I have to pick the windowsXP pro SP1 updates? Is
that correct?
Can someone explain the differences between all these
versions? I know I don't have the 64bit ver, though.

If you are not installing SP1, you need the updates for Windows XP RTM
(Release To Manufacture).
That is the original Gold version as it was released.

You are going to limit yourself on updates if you deny your computer
the necessary update of Service Pack 1.

The Rollup will include most of the post SP1 updates:

The others you will need to get individually since you do not want
SP1.
