I think this problem is a result of an Microsoft update,
my question is how does one know whether the update was
to Nivdia of the motherboard or the vedio card? What
would be the best practices to delete/roll back the
update? Thanks.

You can open update, view history, locate the last one(s) you installed, the
delete from add/remove programs. You can also go to run, type:cm
in cmd type:Sfc /Scanno
When the graph starts install xp cd,exit the info page, when its thru, remove c
type:CHKDSK C: /R Then type:EXI
Restart computer.

It seems, you have a game that is causing a problem, it may be called
"Sandstorm" or something like that. It may be a trash game.

So far as the NVIDIA card goes, never take MS drivers. Go to the web-site of
the hardware Mfr. and download their drivers for XP.

LOL, JAX
