i have now win98 sec ed and have had continuous problems.
So i want to change to xp home edition, but lot of people

can you tell me if xp is more reliable than 98, what are
the drawbacks, can kids still play games

thanks

XP is the most stable MS operating system to date, most folks say, but it's
not without its quirks. Old programs and old hardware can cause grief.
Check the MS site for compatibility, to solve conflicts before they occur.
New drivers, specific to XP, may be needed.

When first installed here, XP was a disaster. After a time it was
discovered that the RAM chip, which had operated fine with '98, was the
cause. Since that was replaced, XP has far outshown the 9x series.
