Did you read the descriptions of each? Seems like a simple choice
to me.

Notice - that one sentence clipped from each of their download
sites is exactly the same.
The difference... The 2007 PowerPoint Viewer views PowerPoint 97,
2000, XP, 2003 and 2007 PowerPoint files. The 2003 PowerPoint
Viewer would not necessarily be able to view PowerPoint 2007 files.
While I am unsure what 'casual PPS viewing' is - I do know that at
this moment your friend might be better off being able to view the
last five types of PowerPoints they could run into instead of just
the last four types...
