Which photo editing/ablum package would you recommend?

I have tried cam2pc and photofiltre, but would would be your favourite
freeware application and why?

Not quite an 'album package', but I like IrfanView and XNView. And for image
editing, I use GIMP.

You definetely have a good package. Although upgrading cam2pc to the
Shareware version will bring a lot of useful features like album
management.
