Hi all
I just about to build my first PC an AMD 64bit 3000 processor on a foxconn
motherboard NF3250K8AA, I have been told I will need to install a 64 bit
operating system. Please could you tell me if this is true

Many thanks
Loakey

Hi Loakey,

You were told wrong, you can use either 32 bit (x86) or 64 bit. The 64 bit
OS just takes full advantage of the 64 bit hardware, but the 32 bit version
will run on it just as well.

In making your decision, you also need to check whether 64-bit
drivers are available for your hardware.
