I've got an older system desribed below on a Dell 8100 with a 17"
monitor. I believe the AGP slot is 4x. I'm considering the ATI 9600
Pro just to get me by until I get a new system (6-9 months or so).
I've currently got an nVidia GForce GTS 32MB (yes, yes...I know I'm
way behind the times). Any advice on this card or perhaps another?
Must have a TV-out.

Thanks for any help!

get a secondhand geforce4 ti4200 instead - around £40 on ebay or im planning
on getting one for £38 from a place that sells refurbished ones. it'd go
with your pc and drivers without any hassle and last you til you buy the new
machine. other option is to buy your future card card now and when you put
together a new system put the GTS back in the Dell and sell it complete. if
you choose the 2nd option yes the 9600pro is good value for money but shop
around as 9800pro have tumbled in price recently and would last you longer.
