First pick would be an Abit NF7. Abit AN7 wasn't bad
either, Asus A7N8X was good too. There are many boards that
would be suitable though, depends a bit on what features you
need and what you can find at the price you're willing to
pay.

The critical factor for reliability is ECC memory. Without it you
can have random undetected errors caused by pure perversity, or
cosmic rays, etc.

The Abit NF7 is very good. It offers generous features, the most
notable being the complete onboard audio outputs. The BIOS is clean,
useable, and functional for overclockers. Performance wise, the board
is top knotch for desktop use.

Abit also has an excellent website which offers plenty of technical
information and details on the features and components compatible with
the board.
