Which is the latest MMC that works with this old card? Tried 8.9 but nothing
works. No problems during install, but after reboot it says that MMC not
installed.

I've found the same kind of problem. Currently using Cat 4.3 with MMC 7.7
(couldn't get any of the 8.x versions to work properly). Works for me with
both 98SE and XP Pro. Note : all I install is the TV-In, don't have any use
for the other crap, especially that File Player that steals every damn
extension it can get it's hands on.

At least MMC 8.8 + CAT 3.10 combination works well here. OS is XP home
Fi. I still have MMC 7.7 in Win Me but it is not as stable as 8.8 (Might
be the OS though...)

I had MMC 8.7 running Ok on exactly the same card, Timo; can't remember if I
took it it up to 8.8 before I changed the card. Never had a version fail,
though, except in details. Have you installed Windows Media Encoder, and
did you install the DAO/MDAC as the first component? Also, which Catalyst
driver (and capture driver!) are you using: AFAIK it may not run on older
catalyst drivers?

pip, run the ATi configuration app; you can set the file associations back
again. But I agree with you; I only install what I want from the suite.
The CD player is a waste of time, as well, and the launcher likes crashing
and hanging!

Ok. I got everything working now. I just ran catalyst uninstaller and
installed the latest Cat 4.3 and MMC 8.9. TV-in seems to work ok now. Don't
need the other crap too. I'm using XP Home FI.
