I've searched around for this, but every board that I have found has
only SPDIF out capability only. Boards prior to 865g seem to be better
equipped for digital audio -- including SPDIF in as well.

Can anyone tell me which boards have this? Th sites I've been looking
at bury these specs. Many review/shopping sites don't mention SPDIF at
all as being onboard, even though it is there. Is SPDIF becoming less
popular or something?

Thank you.

I don't know what boards may but I do know a bare bones system from FIC that
does. The ICE CUBE computer they make has in and out for SPDIF.

If you're worried about SPDIF in, why are you messing around with on-board
audio? Get a good motherboard and a good soundcard that will actually take
advantage of it.

I had been expecting SPDIF in/out to be more common -- based on it
being on many SFF systems. It is now appearing that I should just go
with a i865PE motherboard (MAYBE with SPDIF out) and get a video card
separately -- and then an audio card or USB/Firewire sound system when
I need it.

do with yugoslavia.
