Which laptop? One has an ATI chipset, the other has an VIA.

I have a small problem of deciding which laptop to buy. Here are the

One of the laptop is using an ATi RC410 MB chipset with an ATI Radeon
Xpress 200 integrated graphic card. The other laptop has the VIA VN800
chipset with the UniChrome Pro 3D/2D graphic card. I tried to do my
research in the internet of these both chipsets but no helpful reviews
was found.

Which of these two laptops do you guys think might be better? Which
chipset/graphic card is better, VIA or ATI? Or is there a difference?

Not in a notebook, but in 2 desktops I have the MSI 480RS motherboards with
the same chipset and have been very impressed with the onboard graphics
(x200 again)... so much so that I haven't even bothered to put in PCI-E
cards. One runs Server 2003 and the other is my test platform running XP
x64 and several beta O/Ses.... I've had no problems with the ATI chipsets at
all and the drivers seem readily available from both ATI and MSI.

The ATI based should be a little better at games, but not
"good" at them either. For typical 2D uses or watching
videos either should do fine. Of all differences, unless
you're going to be playing older games, the chipset and
integrated video is probably one of the less important
differences... I would focus on the other differences or are
they essentially the same otherwise?

Based on experience, I'd always avoid anything VIA whenever possible, even
if it costs a few buck more.
