i am gonna be building my first rig soon and would like a little help with this i hav 2 in mind here they r (o if u hav any better suggestions please tell me thanx)


cost is £1350 amd [email protected]
2xbfg 6600gt 128mb oc
asus nforce4 sli deluxe
1gb crucial ram
westen digtal 200gb 7200 rpm
creative soundblaster live 24 bit pci
lg dvd-rw (also writes dvd-ram)
and other bits and bats

now for the intel
costis £1100
intel 660 @3.6ghz
ati x850xt 256mb
msi 925x neo platinum socket 775
creative soundblaster live 24 bit pci
lg dvd-rw(and dvd-ram)
and again same bits and bats

What case and motherboard ?!?
 
im pretty sure amd runs hotter then the intel ones. Correct me if im wrong though. my amd at full load is 52c wount go over that at all i wish i could get a lil lower around 49c full load but i cant.
 
the new intels are the hottest CPU's available, although the AMD's are hot they are not as hot as the intels
